About the training program
The field of study “Special (Defectological) Education”, profile “Oligophrenopedagogy”, trains specialists to work with children and adolescents with developmental delays and intellectual disabilities in educational and medical organizations. Graduates may continue their studies in a master’s program. Oligophrenopedagogues take part in psychological, medical and pedagogical commissions, support students with disabilities in schools and kindergartens, identify their special educational needs, and develop adapted programs and correctional and developmental environments. Practical training takes place at educational institutions. Students conduct research and participate in conferences, competitions and academic olympiads.
