About the training program
The Landscape Architecture program trains specialists in the design, construction, and operation of recreational, landscaping, and garden-park facilities. The focus is on gardens, parks, waterfronts, boulevards, public squares, and courtyards. Design is based on the integration of engineering, natural science, and artistic disciplines. Students study landscape design, dendrology, soil science, CAD (NanoCAD), and the regulatory framework. Practical training takes place at real-world sites: the “Winter Garden” at LSU, nurseries, botanical gardens, and landscape design firms. Students take part in planting and maintenance activities and study ornamental plants, applying theory in practice.
