About the training program
Leningrad State University named after A.S. Pushkin is the only higher education institution in the Leningrad Region offering a program in philosophy and religious studies. Demand for mediation experts in the intercultural sphere remains consistently high: this profession is among the top 10 professions of the new decade. The “Teaching Philosophy and Religious Studies” program provides fundamental knowledge for teaching social sciences and humanities, conducting sociocultural analysis, and carrying out academic research. Graduates have an in-depth knowledge of the world’s religions, their doctrines, texts, and symbols, and are able to interpret religious practices in the context of contemporary processes.
