Pedagogical education in the fields of history and social studies is one of the oldest in the university education system of Russia. Its significance lies not only in obtaining specific knowledge but also in forming the worldview of students, which helps them successfully realize themselves in life in various types of activities, and in obtaining additional education. The goal of the program is to prepare teachers-historians, to provide students with modern fundamental knowledge and practical skills for working in educational institutions, archives, museums, public and state organizations, and in government and local self-government bodies.
