About the training program
The Russian Literature profile focuses on the study of the history of Russian literature from the 11th to the 20th (21st) centuries; the essence and distinctive features of the works of Russian writers, their artistic discoveries, their continuation of national traditions and the achievements of world literature; the development of genres, styles, literary movements and trends in imaginative writing, as well as its connections with related literary activities (literary criticism, letters, diaries, notebooks, memoirs, etc.); and the dynamics of literary creativity. The object of study is all literary phenomena, both of primary and secondary importance.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the postgraduate programme “Russian Literature and the Literatures of the Peoples of the Russian Federation” pursue careers in research, education, culture, and publishing. Upon successfully completing their dissertation research, they may also continue their academic careers and seek the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences.

- Literary scholar and researcher — studies Russian literature, the literatures of the peoples of Russia, literary movements, and more.
