About the training program

The programme prepares highly qualified specialists in Germanic languages, as well as researchers ready to pursue academic and teaching careers at higher education institutions. The content of the programme “Languages of the Peoples of Foreign Countries (Germanic Languages)” includes the study of the main stages and trends in the formation and development of Germanic languages; research into the phonetic, grammatical and lexical structures of the Germanic language group and their word-formation systems; text, discourse and discursive practices in the languages of the peoples of foreign countries; and the study of level-based and cultural (or national) specificities in the representation of knowledge.

Проведение самостоятельных оригинальных исследований в области германских языков с применением современных теоретических и прикладных методов лингвистики.
Применение результатов лингвистических исследований в практической деятельности, включая преподавание языков, перевод, лексикографию, языковую экспертизу и межкультурную коммуникацию.
Анализ структуры и функционирования германских языков на фонетическом, лексическом, грамматическом, семантическом и стилистическом уровнях.
Исследование исторического развития германских языков и выявление закономерностей их формирования, изменения и современного функционирования.
Применение структурного, функционального, когнитивного, коммуникативно-прагматического и корпусного подходов к анализу языкового материала.
Сбор, систематизация и критическая оценка языковых данных из текстовых корпусов, словарей, научных публикаций, архивов и других источников.
Проведение лингвистического эксперимента и обработка его результатов, включая разработку исследовательского инструментария, анализ данных и формулирование обоснованных выводов.
Сопоставительное изучение германских языков с выявлением типологических особенностей, межъязыковых сходств, различий и закономерностей языкового взаимодействия.
Анализ текстов, дискурса и дискурсивных практик с учётом коммуникативного, социального, культурного и прагматического контекста.
