About the University
FGBOU VO "Petrozavodsk State University" is the largest multi-profile classical university in the European North of Russia, a flagship university of the Republic of Karelia. In the National University Rankings, PetrSU ranks 2nd among the flagship universities of Russia, 6th among the universities of the Northwestern Federal District, and 38th among all universities in Russia. About 10,000 students, postgraduates, and other categories of students study at PetrSU, and more than 2,300 students undergo retraining and professional development annually. A multi-level system of higher education is in operation: bachelor's and specialization, master's, postgraduate, residency, additional professional training, pre-university training. 298 main educational programs are being implemented. Petrozavodsk State University has more than 1000 teachers and researchers, 11 educational institutes, 65 departments, 13 basic departments at enterprises and organizations.

The athletics arena with a total area of 7400 sq.m is equipped with modern equipment and all necessary infrastructure, which will allow for the holding of all-Russian and international sports competitions, organizing the training process in athletics and game sports.
Pool "Onego"
The pool hall is equipped with a bowl measuring 25.0 x 16.0 m and a depth of 1.2 m to 1.8 m. The pool is intended for conducting extracurricular swimming training for university students, health improvement, and swimming training for schoolchildren and older residents of adjacent areas.
IT PARK
The Innovation and Technology Park is formed to promote high-tech products created based on the scientific, educational, intellectual, and technological potential of PetrSU.
NOC VBT
The Scientific and Educational Center for High Biomedical Technologies at PetrSU is a modern scientific and educational biomedical cluster. The center includes 6 specialized research laboratories and an Accreditation and Simulation Center.
NIC on aquaculture
The aquaculture research center includes a fish farming comprehensive research sector, a comprehensive microbiological research sector, and a biotechnology research sector.
CII
The Center for Artificial Intelligence conducts research and implements projects in the field of artificial intelligence and intelligent systems.
