graduate employment
The Russian State Institute of Performing Arts (RGISI) maintains strategic partnerships with all leading theaters, concert venues, and circuses in St. Petersburg and Russia. This cooperation forms the basis for organizing students' production practice, which is as close as possible to real professional conditions.
Employment assistance
The preservation and development of the best traditions of the St. Petersburg theater school is the key to the professionalism and diversity of the creative individualities of the university graduates, who make up the golden fund of Russian theater and film art. Today, Lev Dodin, Andrey Moguchy, Valery Fokin, Veniamin Filshtinsky, Lev Ehrenburg, Grigory Kozlov, Semyon Spivak, Alexander Chepurov, Viktor Minkov, Eduard Kochergin, Vladimir Fierer, and many others teach at RGISI. Being active practitioners, and simultaneously teachers and course leaders, they build the educational program based not only on the centuries-old traditions of the university but also in accordance with the context of modern stage art. Training at theaters, which is a common practice at RGISI, allows students from the first year to interact with senior colleagues, go on the same stage with them, and even add to the repertoire with their educational and diploma productions.
