About the training program
The Bachelor's degree programme “History of Korea (with the additional qualification ‘Translation Specialist’)” develops professional and universal competencies and provides a comprehensive understanding of the political, economic, social, cultural and civilizational, ethno-confessional, linguistic and other characteristics of the Republic of Korea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and traditional Korea through an in-depth study of the Korean language and Chinese characters used in Korean.
What do graduates do?
Students have access to unique electronic resources in Russian, Oriental and Western languages, as well as to the specialized branch of the M. Gorky Scientific Library, whose collection comprises more than 300,000 volumes of scholarly, educational, literary and periodical publications in all the languages of the regions studied, a collection of ancient manuscripts and woodblock prints, and rare and unique books and lithographs.
After completing their studies, students have the opportunity to continue their education in a master’s programme at the Faculty of Oriental Studies or at other Russian or foreign universities.
