About the training program
The bachelor's degree programme “History of Japan (with an additional qualification as a Translation Specialist)” develops professional and universal competencies, providing a comprehensive understanding of Japan’s political, economic, social, cultural, religious, migration, linguistic and other characteristics, alongside the parallel and in-depth study of the Japanese language.
What do graduates do?
Students have access to unique electronic resources in Russian, Eastern and Western languages, as well as to the specialized branch of the M. Gorky Scientific Library. Its collection includes more than 300,000 volumes of scholarly, educational, literary and periodical publications in all the languages of the regions studied, a collection of ancient manuscripts and woodblock prints, and rare and unique books and lithographs.
After completing their studies, students have the opportunity to continue their education in the master's degree programs of the Faculty of Oriental Studies or at other Russian or foreign universities.
