About the training program
The Bachelor's degree programme in Turkic Philology (with the additional qualification “Translation Specialist”) develops professional and universal competencies, providing a comprehensive understanding of the region’s linguistic, cultural, political and economic, social, ethnic, religious, literary and other characteristics, alongside an extensive study of Oriental languages.
What do graduates do?
Students have access to unique electronic resources in Russian, Eastern and Western languages, as well as a specialized branch of the M. Gorky Scientific Library. Its collection includes more than 300,000 volumes of scholarly, educational, fiction and periodical literature in all the languages of the regions studied, a collection of ancient manuscripts and woodblock prints, and rare and unique books and lithographs.
After completing their studies, students have the opportunity to continue their education in the master’s programme at the Faculty of Oriental Studies or at other Russian or foreign universities.
