About the training program

The program is aimed at comprehensive, high-quality training of research and academic teaching personnel in the following areas: Lasers and laser optics; new laser media and new laser sources; laser systems Interaction of laser radiation with matter; laser plasma; laser facilities, including those operating with ultra-intense light fields; generation and acceleration of charged particles; generation of nanoparticles and surface modification, and the development of sensors and devices based on these technologies Nonlinear optics; generation of harmonics and supercontinuum; stimulated scattering; nonlinear optical materials; photonic crystals and devices Optical materials and devices.

What do graduates do?

Projects implemented within SPbU: Multimode correlations in one-way quantum computing Generation and control of highly correlated multimode atom–field quantum states for applications in quantum information Strongly multimode radiation in quantum memory protocols: efficient storage and manipulation; Kinetic, dynamic, and structural effects in magnetized dusty and nonequilibrium discharge plasma Dust particles and clusters in inhomogeneous dusty traps and magnetic fields Dust formations in a strong magnetic field And others.
