About the training program
The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of theoretical linguistics, ready for research and teaching activities. The program was developed based on the traditions of St. Petersburg scientific schools and taking into account the experience of leading world universities. The emphasis is placed on preparing students for independent scientific activity, which is also served by an extensive system of practices. The program involves mandatory study of English, Ancient Greek, Latin, and Old Slavic languages, as well as three other living foreign languages of choice, as well as familiarity with the basics of statistical data processing and Python programming.
