About the training program
The main goal of the program is to prepare highly qualified specialists of a broad profile in the field of mathematics and mechanics, who, upon completion of their postgraduate studies, submit a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences for defense in the system of state scientific certification at the Dissertation Council of St. Petersburg State University based on scientific research conducted by the students. The auxiliary goal is to prepare highly qualified specialists of a broad profile in the field of mathematics and mechanics, capable of carrying out pedagogical activities in the field of secondary and higher professional education, conducting independent scientific research, including in interdisciplinary areas.
