About the training program
The educational program of the master's degree "Geoecology: Monitoring, Nature Use, and Environmental Safety" is based on the theoretical foundations of ecology, nature use, and environmental safety developed by the scientific school of St. Petersburg State University. Great attention is paid to issues of organizing environmental expertise of territories, productions, and technological projects, implementing the procedure for assessing the impact of economic projects on the environment, as well as ecologically safe nature use in the Arctic zone of Russia.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the program can engage in scientific research activities in the field of environmental protection, rational use of nature, and environmental safety of the population, as well as control and audit activities, including the preparation of documentation for environmental expertise, various types of project analysis, participation in environmental audits.
