What do graduates do?
Civil engineer — designs buildings, calculates loads, selects materials, directs the construction process, and monitors compliance with technical requirements. Some specializations: Design engineer — develops design and working documentation for the construction of buildings and structures. Engineer-designer — responsible for the calculation and optimization of load-bearing elements, selects grades of concrete and reinforcement.
