About the training program

The main objective of the master’s program is to train research engineers and research scientists in the field of research and development of optotechnical products, optical and optoelectronic instruments and systems. Students choose one of two educational pathways: 1. Optical and optoelectronic instruments and systems 2. Fiber-optic systems and technologies Throughout their studies, students conduct research and undertake practical training at institutes of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and at specialized enterprises.

What do graduates do?

After completing the master's programme, all graduates have the opportunity to obtain well-paid positions (optical technologist, optical designer, optical researcher) at specialized enterprises in Yekaterinburg, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Snezhinsk (Chelyabinsk Region), Lytkarino (Moscow Region), Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other locations, or continue their studies in postgraduate education in the field of 1.3.6 Optics.
