About the training program

The postgraduate program in scientific specialty 2.1.1 “Building Structures, Buildings and Structures” is designed to train researchers and highly qualified experts in the fields of structural design and facility safety. Program focus: fundamental and applied research in the analysis, design, and diagnostics of building structures. The program focuses on the reliability, durability, and stability of buildings and structures; new construction materials; methods for modeling loads; and assessing the technical condition of facilities.

What will they teach you?

Разрабатывать расчётные модели зданий и отдельных конструкций с учётом реальных условий эксплуатации;
Применять современные методы компьютерного моделирования (МКЭ и др.) и анализировать напряжённо‑деформированное состояние;
Оценивать несущую способность, устойчивость и долговечность конструкций, в том числе при экстремальных воздействиях (сейсмика, пожары, динамические нагрузки);
Использовать методы неразрушающего контроля и технической диагностики, обрабатывать результаты обследований;
Ставить научные исследования, готовить публикации и отчёты, сдавать кандидатские экзамены (история и философия науки, иностранный язык, дисциплина по специальности).

What do graduates do?

Graduates go on to work as research staff at research institutes and universities, lead design engineers, experts in the inspection of buildings and structures, technical supervision specialists, heads of project areas, and consultants on the safety and reconstruction of facilities.
