About the training program

The program is aimed at graduates of higher educational institutions who have obtained a master's degree or a specialist in biology. Preferred education is in genetics, bioengineering, or bioinformatics. During the implementation of the program, the graduate student acquires knowledge in the narrow field of genetics, conducts scientific research activities, and prepares a scientific qualification work (dissertation). The object of the graduate student's research can be biological systems of various levels of organization, as well as processes of their life activity and evolution. The graduate student's work may be focused in the areas of human mitochondrial genome recoding technology development.

What do graduates do?

After training, graduates will be able to conduct their own genetic research, engage in the development and improvement of genome analysis methods. The research conducted can be both fundamental and applied. Graduates can realize themselves in the teaching field, including developing their own educational courses, preparing methodological materials and textbooks, teaching genetic disciplines in higher educational institutions, as well as leading a research group.
