Employment of graduates
According to statistics, 78.1% of our graduates find employment that is relevant to their majors in the first year after graduation: potential employers headhunt our graduates. Students can choose a future career during their university years, while some enterprises based in the Chelyabinsk Region are directly involved in the educational process.
Employment assistance
The employment rate among our graduates is a main priority and the most significant KPI for our university. Today, South Ural State University cooperates with more than 300 enterprises across Russia and the world.
Every year, SUSU hosts an employer assembly, a unique event in the school-university-enterprise format, for over 60 companies from all over Russia to present their job offers and career opportunities for students and graduates.

The Automobile Plant URAL
The Automobile Plant URAL produces trucks and chassis of various configurations, assembles 250 modifications on the conveyor and manufactures more than 400 types of special vehicles based on the Ural chassis. It employs SUSU alumni as lead engineers, designers and managers at various levels.
Mechel
Also a SUSU partner, Mechel is Russia’s major producer of coking coal. Its key businesses include mining, metallurgy and energy. It employs SUSU alumni as lead engineers, designers and managers at various levels.
Metran Group
Another SUSU partner, Metran Group is a manufacturer of measuring, analytical, metrological and control equipment. It employs SUSU alumni as lead engineers, designers and managers at various levels.
KONAR Group
A SUSU partner, KONAR Group is engaged in the development, engineering and comprehensive support for oil & gas and petrochemical industries. It employs SUSU alumni as lead engineers, designers and managers at various levels.
Forge-and-Press Plant (CHKPZ)
A SUSU partner, Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant (CHKPZ) is a leading machine-building manufacturer and a top forging company in the CIS by outputs of forged and stamped products. It employs SUSU alumni as lead engineers, designers and managers at various levels.
