Admission as part of a general competition
Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.

Identity and citizenship document(s), with a notarized translation into Russian

Education document — an educational document issued by a foreign country must be submitted together with a certificate of recognition of foreign education, except in cases provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Quota receipt
Admission within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens. The number of places is limited, selection is conducted on a competitive basis through Rossotrudnichestvo.

Additionally — a referral from the federal executive authority responsible for developing state policy and providing regulatory and legal oversight in higher education.

Admission to the Olympiads
Preferential admission for winners and prize-winners of international olympiads included in the list of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The right to admission without entrance exams is granted.

Admission with grant provision
Admission in the presence of an educational grant from Russian or international organizations, funds, state programs. The grant can cover tuition, accommodation, and a scholarship.
