Rules for settling in a dormitory
Required documents:
- Passport, translation of the passport into Russian
- Migration card, VISA (if applicable)
- Medical certificate confirming the absence of socially dangerous diseases (HIV, AIDS, tuberculosis, syphilis (+ sexually transmitted diseases) (in Russian, if required)
Settlement conditions:
- Notify the Dean’s Office of the Faculty for Training Foreign Specialists (FPIS) of your arrival by email 3–5 business days in advance: forstud@vstu.ru
- At the Student Campus Administration (35 Sovetskaya Street, Room 124), submit an application for a place in a dormitory room and complete the residential premises rental agreement.
- Have them certified at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Training for Foreign Specialists (ФПИС): 35 Sovetskaya St., Room 413. The documents (application, contract, passport, migration card, medical certificate (certificate)) must be submitted to the dormitory commandant for check-in.
- To complete dormitory registration, the applicant must personally visit the Registration and Records Department on the day of arrival (or the following day) (35 Sovetskaya St., Room 526) with the required documents.

Please note that: 1) If we do not receive information about your arrival, the FPIS Dean’s Office will not be able to provide you with a volunteer to assist you. 2) You can actually move into the dormitory only after paying the accommodation fee in advance. 3) The state fee for processing: - initial registration at the place of stay is 500 rubles; - registration for the validity period of a multiple-entry visa is 1,000 rubles.
