About the university
Oryol State University named after I.S. Turgenev is the largest university in the Oryol region and the only multidisciplinary center in the region that conducts continuous training of specialists at all levels in the field of pedagogical, engineering, medical, natural science, and humanitarian education. In 2016, Oryol State University named after I.S. Turgenev became one of the first flagship universities in Russia, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, and in 2021 became a participant in the state support program for universities "Priority 2030." The university includes 3 branches, 2 gymnasiums, and 11 institutes and 10 faculties. The university implements more than 300 main educational programs.

Biomedical Photonics Center
The Biomedical Photonics Center focuses on developing methods and tools for biomedical photonics control, commercializing high-tech products, developing facilities and resources for training specialists, and expanding international cooperation in educational, scientific, and innovative activities.
Scientific Library
The scientific library serves as a comprehensive information base for research, innovative, educational, and production activities at the university, aiming to provide comprehensive support for the training of highly educated specialists and the humanization of education within a multi-level modular

The sports club primarily focuses on four areas:

Green Shore Recreation Center
Guests have access to gazebos, event venues, and cozy, well-equipped two-story cottages with all amenities. The center features its own stadium, a football field, a tennis court, and other facilities for active leisure.
Student Polyclinic
The student polyclinic is equipped with a treatment base, including a day hospital, therapeutic and diagnostic offices, doctors’ offices, medical facilities for sports, health posts, medical equipment, medical products, and pharmaceuticals.
Dormitories
The university’s student dormitories are designed for the temporary accommodation of nonresident and international students and postgraduates.
