About the training program
“History of Ideas and Intellectual Culture” is a research-oriented master’s degree program. Our society is a knowledge society. By bringing together the achievements of history, philology and linguistics, philosophy and sociology, cultural studies and cognitive sciences, intellectual history provides today’s professionals with universal tools for studying, producing and managing knowledge. In addition to the processes of generating and reproducing knowledge in the humanities, intellectual culture also encompasses the economy, politics, the media sphere and public life. The program is therefore universal: it can be pursued not only by graduates with a bachelor’s degree in history, but also by graduates of any humanities or non-humanities discipline.
