About the training program
Technosphere Safety (code 20.03.01) is an in-demand engineering bachelor's degree field aimed at protecting people and the environment from industrial and natural hazards. Students learn to prevent accidents, assess risks, and manage occupational safety at enterprises.
You will learn how to prevent technological accidents, organize occupational safety, ensure fire and industrial safety, assess risks, and act in emergency situations. A safety engineer's responsibilities include developing risk management systems for industrial facilities, conducting safety audits, designing fire suppression and evacuation systems, and organizing rescue operations.
What do graduates do?
Graduates can work in government institutions of Rosprirodnadzor and Rostekhnadzor, EMERCOM structures, civil defense and emergency management units of enterprises and organizations, industrial safety departments of enterprises, enterprise emergency response and rescue services, computing and analytical centers engaged in the prevention and forecasting of equipment condition, state labor protection inspectorates, design and engineering organizations, and analytical laboratories forecasting emergency situations.
A safety engineer is needed at every enterprise—this is a profession with stable demand in industry, construction, the fuel and energy sector, and EMERCOM structures.
