About the University
Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE) is one of Russia’s leading economics universities, ranked in the Premier League of the National Aggregated Ranking and among the top 100 universities in the RAEX ranking. Its graduates have the highest salaries among graduates of specialized economics universities in St. Petersburg.
The university offers programs in economics, management, finance, business informatics, service and tourism, law, and other fields. Its academic offerings include 49 bachelor’s and specialist degree programs, 44 master’s programs, and 13 postgraduate programs. AI modules have been introduced into 33 programs. The university is developing mathematical modeling and interdisciplinary research in the field of artificial intelligence.
The university cooperates with more than 500 companies and has over 250 international academic partners. SPbSUE is an active participant in and co-organizer of numerous international forums, including SPIEF, the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, and others.

RZD Laboratory
The Russian Railways (RZD) Artificial Intelligence and Digital Logistics Laboratory develops digital professional competencies in transport logistics and supply chain management, and implements applied research projects using AI and machine learning.
Educational and Laboratory Complex
A modern multifunctional space designed for practical training, scientific research, and laboratory work. It includes 8 centers and 25 classrooms in the fields of IT and AI, hospitality, digital communications, customs, economics, finance, management, and law.
Volunteer Center of SPbSUE
The Volunteer Centre was established as the only centre in St Petersburg for recruiting volunteers for the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. Over its 15 years of operation, the centre has successfully recruited and trained more than 10,000 volunteers for 900 city-level, federal and international events.
Sports Complex “Griffon”
The sports complex infrastructure includes: a swimming pool (swimming, water aerobics); sports halls (basketball, volleyball, futsal, table tennis, fitness, dance); a gym; and a martial arts hall. Students also have access to 5 extracurricular sports sections. University teams train in 14 sports.
Chinese Library
Russia’s first Chinese Library was opened in 2015 at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE). More than 10,000 books, albums, periodicals, and other printed materials were delivered from China. The collection includes literature in Russian, Chinese, and English and covers a wide range of aspects of modern life in China.
Library
The collection of the SPbGEU Library—one of Russia’s largest university economics libraries—is a unique compilation of educational and research literature covering a wide range of disciplines. Its collection of electronic educational resources and services includes the leading databases in the university’s field.
