About the training program

In the process of learning, students master the basic concepts and features of the structure of structural metal, non-metallic, and other types of materials, the dependence of their properties on structure and composition; the physical essence of phenomena occurring in materials under conditions of external influences and operation. They learn to correctly choose materials for the manufacture of products of various purposes (parts of machines and instruments, tools, structures); to assess changes in the mechanical properties of materials under the influence of external influences: plastic deformation, thermal processing; to have an idea of promising directions for the creation of new structural materials.

What will they teach you?

What do graduates do?

The area of professional activity of graduates includes the development, research, modification, and use of inorganic and organic materials of various purposes, processes for obtaining materials, blanks, semi-finished products, parts, and products, as well as quality management for various fields of engineering and technology (mechanical engineering and instrumentation, aviation and rocket-space technology, nuclear energy, nanoindustry, medical technology, sports and household appliances). Graduates are employed in positions such as: thermist for working with electric heating furnaces; thermist for conducting chemical-thermal treatment (nitrogenation, cementation, nitrocementation).
