About the training program

Preparation of highly qualified specialists meeting modern international requirements in the field of higher medical education. Specialists who have a high level of competence in conducting preventive and anti-epidemiological measures to prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases, capable of prescribing treatment to patients according to the diagnosis, conducting rehabilitation measures for those who have undergone somatic diseases, injuries, and surgical intervention. Specialists capable of addressing economic, organizational, and management issues in the healthcare sector.

What will they teach you?

  • Collection and medico-statistical analysis of information on health indicators characterising the health status of the population of different age and sex groups
  • Examination of temporary incapacity for work and participation in other types of medical expertise
  • Maintaining medical records in medical organisations
  • Diagnosis of diseases and pathological conditions of patients; - Diagnosis of emergency conditions
  • Prevention of diseases among the population through preventive and anti-epidemic measures
  • Provision of primary medical and sanitary care in outpatient and day hospital settings
  • Participation in the provision of emergency medical care for conditions requiring urgent medical intervention
  • Participation in medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment programmes
  • Provision of primary medical and sanitary care for sudden acute diseases, conditions and exacerbations of chronic diseases that are not life-threatening and do not require emergency medical care
  • Developing motivation in the population, patients and their families to preserve and improve their own health and the health of those around them
  • Application of the basic principles of organising the provision of medical care in medical organisations and their structural subdivisions
  • Creation of favourable conditions in medical organisations for patients and medical staff to work in

What do graduates do?

Graduates can engage in professional activities in various areas: education and science (in the field of scientific research); healthcare (in the field of providing primary medical and sanitary care to the population in medical organizations: polyclinics, outpatient clinics, inpatient polyclinic institutions of the municipal healthcare system, and therapeutic and preventive institutions providing primary medical and sanitary care to the population); administrative and managerial and office activities (in the field of activities of healthcare organizations).
