About the University
Far Eastern Federal University is the flagship of Russian education in the Far East, with a 125-year history. It is located on Russky Island in Vladivostok.
FEFU is a multidisciplinary university with a strong focus on the natural sciences. Its unique seaside location enables the university to train highly qualified oceanographers. Its engineering laboratories and centers produce leading physicists, engineers, and biotechnologists. The FEFU Medical Center provides medical students with hands-on clinical training.
The FEFU campus features world-class infrastructure. Covering more than 130 hectares, the expansive campus offers a vibrant and comfortable environment for studying and living. The university’s dormitories meet 3-star hotel standards and can accommodate more than 10,000 students.
FEFU is a key venue for major international events. Each year, it hosts the Eastern Economic Forum, which brings together world leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi, and Shinzo Abe.

Accommodation conditions
The FEFU hotel complex offers international students comfortable accommodation in modern dormitories with double rooms and two-room apartments for 3–4 people. The rooms are equipped with all necessary furniture and cleaned weekly. Kitchens and laundry rooms are available on each floor.
Sports infrastructure
FEFU promotes a healthy lifestyle by providing students, faculty, and staff with access to modern sports facilities, including sports and recreation complexes, swimming pools, gyms, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, and a 2,000-seat stadium.
Shops and retail outlets
The FEFU campus is a comfortable student community offering everything needed for living and studying, including shops, cafés, canteens, pharmacies, a post office, copy centers, and much more. Free buses provide convenient transportation around the campus.
FEFU Medical Center
The FEFU Medical Center is a modern multidisciplinary facility that provides patients with high-tech medical care. It comprises 14 departments, 9 operating rooms, diagnostic centers, and a rehabilitation center. Any university student can seek assistance at the FEFU Medical Center if necessary.
Park area and waterfront
Proximity to nature is one of the main advantages of the FEFU campus. The campus features a park with woodland and waterfalls, as well as convenient paths for walking and cycling. The promenade along Ajax Bay offers scenic views and opportunities for recreation.
