Admission as part of a general competition
Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.

Passport scan with a notarized translation into Russian

Quota receipt
Admission within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens. The number of places is limited, selection is conducted on a competitive basis through Rossotrudnichestvo.

Admission to the Olympiads
Preferential admission for winners and prize-winners of international olympiads included in the list of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The right to admission without entrance exams is granted.

Important information
Additional documents for foreign nationals claiming compatriot status (admission through the general competition): 1. Russian citizenship — for Russian citizens residing abroad; 2. Citizenship of the USSR, citizenship status, or lack thereof at the time of presentation — for persons who held USSR citizenship; 3. Previous residence in the territory of the Russian State, the Russian Republic, the RSFSR, the USSR, or the Russian Federation; the corresponding citizenship status upon leaving that territory; and citizenship status or lack thereof at the time of presentation — for emigrants; direct-line ascendant kinship with the persons specified above — for descendants of compatriots; 4. Residence abroad — for all the persons specified above.
