About the training program
The methods of researching monuments and the urban planning environment, conducting work to ensure the protection of monuments: determining protected objects, preparing accounting documentation, determining the boundaries of monument territories and use regimes, designing protection zones and urban planning regulations for various types of cultural heritage are studied in detail. Students study in detail the methods of conducting restoration and reconstruction work, knowledge of which is applied in course projects carried out using materials from real objects. In addition, a large block of lectures and practical classes is dedicated to the recreation of heritage sites and historical territories.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the bachelor's degree in the specialty have the opportunity to be employed in project organizations and state bodies engaged in the protection of historical and cultural heritage. The labor market for our graduates is quite extensive, as our university is the only one in the entire Central Black Earth region where specialists in this profile are trained and one of the few in the country where there is no specialization in the direction of RRAN, but training in the specialty is conducted, i.e., from the first year. Nevertheless, there are still very few specialists certified by the Ministry of Culture who have the right to work with architectural monuments in the region, and therefore the need for specialists in this field is very high.
