About the University
G.R. Derzhavin Tambov State University offers a wide range of educational programs at every academic level, combining high quality with affordable tuition fees. Derzhavin University is internationally oriented. Courses are taught by highly qualified professors in Russian, English, and French.
According to the global RUR ranking, in 2025 our university ranked among the top 20 Russian universities for international activity. It has high-tech research centers and laboratories, well-developed infrastructure, and excellent facilities and equipment.
The University is located in Tambov, in the central part of Russia, not far from Moscow (460 km). The modern university campus, with numerous dormitories, is well integrated into the urban environment.

Galdym Recreation Center
The Galdym University Recreation Center is located in a picturesque pine forest on the bank of a river, 60 km from Tambov. The center hosts students, faculty members, and university staff, holds university events and specialized student sessions, and accommodates official guests of TSU.
Research laboratories and centers
The University operates more than 40 research centers and laboratories equipped with modern facilities, including the Laboratory of Organic Synthesis and Macromolecular Compounds, the Research Center of the Russian Academy of Education, the Research and Educational Laboratory of University Television, and many others.
Doctor Profi
The University operates the multidisciplinary clinical center “Doctor Profi,” which provides a comprehensive range of medical services, qualified preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic, consultative, and rehabilitative care, and serves as a clinical training base for students.
Simulation Center
The Accreditation and Simulation Center of TSU provides training for the University’s students and staff using simulation technologies. The Center is equipped with high-fidelity mannequins, simulators, and robots for developing the practical skills of students in medical specialties.
Fundamental Library
The Fundamental Library is not only the largest library in the region, but also an important sociocultural center with internal and external electronic resources, providing online access to a collection of 1.5 million scientific and educational publications.

The Educational Theatre is a creative laboratory of G. R. Derzhavin Tambov State University. It is one of the city’s largest performance venues for large-scale events, concerts and celebrations, including graduation ceremonies for international students.
