About the University
Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University named after V. P. Astafyev is the oldest pedagogical university in Eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East.
Since 2004, it has borne the name of Viktor Petrovich Astafyev, a renowned Russian writer. Since 2020, KSPU has been part of the network of federal pedagogical universities.
The university has 6,500 students and postgraduate students. Each year, the university graduates more than 1,100 qualified specialists, 80% of whom find employment immediately after graduation.
KSPU offers 110 bachelor’s, specialist, master’s, postgraduate and doctoral programs. KSPU has an extensive material and technical base, including two modern digital pedagogical technoparks, four exhibition centers, two coworking spaces and a media center. The V. P. Astafyev KSPU hosts a research center of the Russian Academy of Education, as well as the Confucius Institute Scientific and Educational Center for Chinese Language and Culture, where international Chinese language exams HSK, HSKK, BCT and YCT have been available since 2023.

Technopark
A modern educational space bringing together the M.I. Shilova Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies and the L.V. Kirensky Kvantorium Pedagogical Technopark. Here, students master modern technologies, research is conducted, and career guidance events are held.
Coworking spaces
Modern themed coworking zones and student spaces for studying, meetings, cultural and scientific events, and lectures. In particular: the Olympic Sports Coworking Space, the Astafyev Cultural and Historical Coworking Space, and student coworking zones with comfortable sofas in institutes and faculties.
Cafeterias and recreation areas
A buffet offering a wide selection of food, as well as cafeterias equipped with food and beverage vending machines. Each building has open recreation areas where students can recharge, furnished with sofas, bean bags, ottomans, books, and tables.
Sports facilities
Several sports halls and facilities in different academic buildings for classes and clubs in basketball, volleyball, football, aerobics, table tennis, chess, and more.
Scientific Library
The university’s key information and cultural unit, whose collection comprises more than 970,000 books, textbooks, scholarly works, and periodicals. The main building also houses a fiction section, while the university’s other buildings have subject-specific literature sections.
