About the organization
Welcome to Polytech – the leading technical university in Russia! St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great was founded in 1899. Our university is one of the leading technical universities in Russia. Polytech is among the TOP-3 Russian universities in terms of the number of foreign students and holds leading positions in the quality of specialist training. We have over 33,000 students, of whom more than 5,200 are foreigners from 107 countries around the world. The university employs 2,000 teachers, including more than 160 invited from abroad. Polytech offers foreign students more than 300 bachelor's and master's programs, as well as more than 90 scientific directions for postgraduate studies. Education at the university is conducted in Russian and English. The university implements more than 30 international bachelor's and master's programs in English. For students wishing to learn the Russian language, special preparation programs for university admission have been created, which have been implemented at the university for more than 70 years.

For all students, 70+ sports sections are available. The modern sports complex includes: a swimming pool, a stadium with two football fields and a hockey rink, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball halls, halls for wrestling, boxing, and weightlifting, a climbing wall, gyms, a ski base, and more.
dormitories
Full-time students are provided with a place in a block-type dormitory for 3-4 people per room. The block has 2 living rooms and a bathroom. Each dormitory has modern kitchens, laundry rooms, study rooms, and leisure space.
Unified processing center
A modern, convenient, multifunctional center with a comfortable and modern waiting room, electronic queue, and multilingual navigation, where you can register, obtain a visa, register for migration, go through the process of settling into dormitories, and obtain a medical insurance policy.
international campus
All foreign students of SPbPU live in the international part of the campus. The dormitories are located near the academic buildings and the sports center. All buildings are equipped with video surveillance systems, and entry is by electronic passes, which guarantees safety for all our students.
University campus
The unique campus of SPbPU, with an area of 120 hectares, is more like the territory of a small city. The campus is created in the image and type of Oxford and Cambridge. The territory houses 170 educational and scientific buildings, administrative buildings, a sports complex, a polyclinic, and a student campus with 18 dormitories.
