About the training program
Profile "General and Applied Biotechnology". The program prepares specialists who can professionally apply living systems to obtain substances necessary for humans, animals, and plants. A special object of research in biotechnology is the hereditary apparatus of living systems: chromosomes and genes. By introducing changes to the internal structure of chromosomes and genes, one can change the metabolism of the organism as a whole or direct the body's work towards the synthesis of substances that were not previously characteristic of it. Today, the achievements of biotechnology are widely implemented in various areas of medicine, agriculture, food production, and the breeding of new varieties of plants and animals with specified characteristics.
