About the training program

The programme is aimed at providing comprehensive, high-quality training for research and academic teaching personnel in the following areas: Study of the patterns of cytogenesis and histogenesis, and the structure and functions of cells and tissues Study of the patterns of differentiation of cells and tissues, their physiological regeneration and the regulation of these processes, as well as the differentiation and vital activity of undifferentiated cells Systemic analysis of the relationships between cells, tissues and functional systems of organisms representing all kingdoms Comparative evolutionary study of tissue elements in relation to the problem of the origin and phylogenetic development of tissues, and other areas.

Projects and grants implemented at SPbU: Study of the main patterns of genome evolution in parasitic organisms using representatives of Orthonectida and Turbellaria as examples How parasitism transforms an annelid into an orthonectid: genetic and morphological consequences The phenomenon of ribosomal gene amplification during oogenesis: a study using oocytes of the red-eared slider Trachemys scripta as a model Development of innovative medicines based on TAAR trace amine receptors; High-throughput screening of trace amine receptor TAAR9 ligands Study of the functions of TAAR receptors in thermoregulation as potential targets for the treatment of acute psychiatric conditions
