About the training program
The educational program involves mastering a wide range of modern methods of linguistic or literary analysis and expanding the philological culture of students. The program combines a set of studied theoretical and applied linguistic or philological disciplines with subjects individually chosen by the student according to their interests and the topic of the final qualifying work. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to continue research work in graduate school, as well as work as translators, teachers of Slavic languages and literatures in secondary and higher educational institutions, literary critics, and in the publishing business.
What do graduates do?
The program is aimed at preparing a specialist ready to conduct scientific research, pedagogical, project, and managerial activities in the field of Slavic linguistics, Slavic philology, Slavic-Russian, Slavic-English, and Slavic-German comparative studies, as well as research on the culture of foreign Slavic countries, depending on the profile of training. Graduates of the program can apply the knowledge gained in the following areas: scientific work at the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific and pedagogical activities in universities, teaching in other educational institutions, translation activities, working as an editor in book publishing houses, museum work, library science, and others
