Rules for admitting foreign applicants
Detailed information about various methods of admission to a Russian university for foreign citizens. Choose the appropriate option and familiarize yourself with the necessary documents.
Admission as part of a general competition
Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.
Required documents:
National (foreign) passport with translation into Russian (translation is notarized)

Document of previous education (with grades), with translation into Russian (translation is notarized)

Photos 3x4 (no corner), matte (can be color, can be black and white)

For those applying to full-time and part-time forms of education, medical certificates: 086-u (for those applying to higher educational institutions); vaccination certificate for measles, diphtheria, tuberculosis vaccinations; result of blood test for HIV, RW, hepatitis B (Medical certificates are provided upon entry into the Russian Federation) Document on the equivalence of previously obtained education in foreign countries, Baltic countries, Georgia.

Medical insurance policy (issued in Moscow) for full-time and part-time students. If the policy is purchased in the home country (for a period of at least 1 year), it specifies the medical institutions in Moscow that will provide medical assistance if necessary;

For applicants from visa entry countries, the University issues an official invitation to obtain an entry study visa at the Consular Department of the Russian Embassy in the applicant's country of residence. Foreign citizens applying for education within the quota for foreign citizens' education in Russian universities approved by the Government of the Russian Federation submit documents ONLY IF THEY HAVE A DIRECTION FOR STUDY FROM THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF SCIENCE.

Admission within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens. The number of places is limited, selection is carried out on a competitive basis through Rossotrudnichestvo.
