About the training program

The program explores the fundamental laws of the universe, the structure of matter at the microscopic level, and processes at extreme energies. It includes the study of quantum mechanics, field theory, accelerator physics, particle detectors, and data processing methods. Graduates are in demand at universities, research institutes, IT companies, and in the nuclear industry. They engage in conducting experiments, developing new technologies, data analysis, and teaching. The program provides competencies for working at the forefront of science and technology.

What will they teach you?

  • Relativistic nuclear physics, physics and properties of hadrons, leptons, and other elementary particles, physics of high-energy hadron collisions, properties of strongly interacting matter
  • Experimental and theoretical studies of the structure of atomic nuclei, nuclear reactions, nuclear processes, and nuclear decays
  • Physics of atomic nucleus fission, neutron physics, and reactions induced by neutrons
  • Nuclear astrophysics and nuclear cosmophysics, nucleosynthesis, nuclear-physical aspects of stellar evolution, cosmic rays
  • Electroweak interactions in reactions and decays, neutrino physics, manifestations of fundamental symmetries in nuclear processes
  • Methods of processing and analyzing experimental data in nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, and high- and ultra-high-energy physics
  • Nuclear data, systematization of nuclear data, specialized nuclear databases
  • Techniques and methods of experimentation in nuclear physics, nuclear reaction physics, elementary particle physics, and high- and ultra-high-energy physics

What do graduates do?

• Universities and research institutes • International scientific centers • Companies developing accelerator technology • Companies specializing in data processing and analysis • Nuclear industry and energy (physicist engineer)
