About the training program

Welding, related processes and technologies – a branch of science and technology engaged in the study of the patterns of formation of non-detachable joints of materials, metallurgical and physical processes in materials during welding, surfacing, soldering, coating, thermal cutting, and other related processes, the development of highly efficient resource-saving technologies for joining materials, methods of designing strong and reliable welded structures, welding equipment, technological and robotic complexes for the production of welded products, methods of controlling the parameters of technological processes to ensure the stability of the quality and properties of welded joints.

What will they teach you?

  • Core Research Domains
  • Theory of welded structure strength and integrity
  • Advanced welding technologies and allied processes
  • Computational modeling of welding procedures

What do graduates do?

• At industrial enterprises: mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, aviation, metallurgy, construction, oil and gas and energy industries, defense industry (welding engineers, welding production technologists). • In research institutes and universities: researchers, teachers, engaged in research in the field of welding. • In engineering companies: develop technological documentation, control the quality of welding, automate welding processes (welding experts, automation specialists).
