About the training program
1.6 Earth and Environmental Sciences. The program is aimed at training highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel engaged in research activities in the field of engineering geology, permafrost science, and soil science, as well as teaching activities in secondary and higher education institutions. The subject-thematic content of the program ensures mastery of modern methodology of theoretical and experimental research in the field of Earth sciences (including those acquired through participation in high-level scientific research).
What do graduates do?
The objects of the graduate's professional activity are: Earth, composition, structure of soils as multicomponent systems, their composition, state, properties, structure; correlation between properties, classification indicators of soil properties; physicochemical phenomena and processes in the interaction of soil components; regional geological, zonal, and technogenic factors in the formation of engineering-geological and geocryological conditions and natural-technical systems; assessment and forecast of changes in engineering-geological and theocryological conditions of mineral deposits, etc.
