About the training program

The program trains performers and educators in the field of traditional vocal culture. Students master folk singing techniques, the repertoire of various ethnocultural traditions, including the Chuvash tradition, work with folklore materials, and ensemble and solo singing. The program includes the history of folk music, folkloristics, stage presentation of songs, the fundamentals of choreography, and playing folk instruments. Practical training takes place in folklore ensembles, cultural centers, and educational institutions. Graduates work as ensemble performers, choir directors, teachers, and specialists in preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage.
