About the training program
The program trains performers and educators in traditional vocal culture. Students refine their vocal technique in the folk style, master regional styles and repertoires, study folklore, ethnography, the fundamentals of arranging and reconstructing folklore materials, methods of teaching folk singing, ensemble work, and the stage presentation of folklore. The program includes individual lessons, folklore expeditions, concert and teaching practice, and participation in festivals. Graduates work as performers, heads of folklore groups, teachers, and ethnocultural experts, and develop projects aimed at preserving intangible cultural heritage.
