About the training program
The program prepares research and teaching staff for work at higher education institutions, archives, museums, and research centers. Doctoral students study the methodology and historiography of national history in depth, develop skills in working with archival and museum sources, auxiliary historical disciplines, and digital methods in the humanities. A key component is individual research: developing a dissertation topic, collecting and analyzing sources, and preparing publications. Practical training takes place in archives, research institutes, and educational institutions. Graduates become researchers, teachers, and experts in historical heritage and cultural policy.
