About the training program
The program trains surgeons with broad-based expertise. Residents master the principles of asepsis and antisepsis, techniques for basic and specialized operations, the use of surgical instruments and endoscopic equipment, and methods of hemostasis and drainage. The program includes clinical practice in surgical departments, case reviews of emergency and elective conditions (acute appendicitis, cholecystitis, intestinal obstruction, injuries, and others), simulation training, and the study of protocols for preoperative preparation and postoperative care, principles of antibiotic prophylaxis, and the prevention and management of complications.
