The resident actively integrates into the life of the department, learns to interact with both staff and patients, and to fill in medical records correctly; by practicing practical skills on simulation trainers, the resident begins to apply the acquired knowledge in practice under the strict supervision of experienced physicians. The resident masters practical skills in an obstetrics and gynecology clinic and on diagnostic equipment, and learns methods of functional diagnostics, techniques for minor obstetric and gynecological procedures, operative delivery, as well as major gynecological operations. The ultimate goal of the training is the ability to work independently in the chosen specialty.
