About the training program
The program 45.03.02 Linguistics (Translation Studies) is a combination of fundamental training in the field of philology, mastering the most modern trends in the field of translation studies, maximum language practice, and acquiring skills in intercultural communication. Students of the program gain a broad academic outlook, solid knowledge of two popular foreign languages, foreign literature, corpus linguistics, translation theory and practice, linguocultural studies, develop "soft" skills – learn effective communication and adaptation in force majeure situations, train creative thinking.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the direction find work in areas where knowledge of foreign languages and translation skills are required, can work in language centers, engage in, among other things, teaching activities. These can be private companies and state structures where services related to translation studies are needed. The combination of two linguistic directions allows one to choose from a wide variety of master's programs (in linguistics, psychology, economics, entrepreneurship in education, etc.), and knowledge of at least two foreign languages opens up opportunities to continue studying in master's programs of foreign universities.
