About the training program
The program "Philology (Textology and Literary Criticism)" is focused on in-depth analysis of texts and literary works taking into account the multi-ethnic and Arctic context of Yakutia. Students study textology (critical edition of texts, paleography, digital reconstruction of manuscripts) and literary criticism (analysis of genres, styles, interpretation in a cultural context). Special emphasis on the literature of the indigenous peoples of the North: the Yakut epic "Olonkho" (UNESCO), the folklore of the Evenks and Chukchi, modern Yakut prose (themes of ecology, shamanism, identity).
