About the University
Siberian Federal University is the first federal university, one of 10 in the country. It is among the top 20 leading universities in Russia. Today, more than 1000 foreign students and listeners from different parts of the world study at SFU. The largest number of students comes from Central Asian countries, and there are also students from Ecuador, Egypt, China, Venezuela, Colombia, Nigeria, Mongolia, Syria, Slovakia, Peru, Japan, Iraq, and other countries. SFU offers many promising opportunities:

• 110+ master's programs;
• 3 master's programs in English;
• 26 groups of scientific specialties and 115 graduate programs, 6 of which are in English. All foreign students are provided with accommodation in dormitories on the university campus. Spacious swimming pool, stadium, and 5 sports halls for football, mini-football, handball, basketball, volleyball, boxing, wrestling, and gymnastics.
SFU Medical Center
This is a large multifunctional center. All foreign students can make an appointment with a doctor and receive services from the SFU Medical Center for a fee and free of charge if the procedures are agreed upon with the insurance company.
It is easy to make an appointment and visit the Medical Center — our Adaptation and Educational Work Center will help you.
SFU dormitories
In total, there are 30 dormitories at SFU. In 2021, dormitory No. 30 took first place in the All-Russian competition of student councils of dormitories. The number of places for 1st-year students is 4107, the cost of accommodation is from 1000 rubles to 4000 rubles.
SFU Library
The Scientific Library of SFU provides users with free access to more than 3,000,000 printed and electronic publications, licensed scientific and educational resources and databases, library services, and subscriptions to scientific and educational literature are open on all campus sites of the university.
SFU campus
The SFU campus is a small student city with everything. You can exercise, have coffee with friends in the eco-park, feed squirrels in the forest, and participate in outdoor activities. The dormitories are located near the classroom — you can come to classes quickly and sleep longer!
