About the training program

In the Rostov region, such an educational program is presented only at DSTU. Students will gain deep knowledge in the field of shipbuilding and design of marine and river infrastructure facilities. They will study such disciplines as the design of marine infrastructure facilities, the organization of modern shipbuilding production, the methodology of designing shipbuilding products, the theory of ship design, as well as master the programs - Compass-3D, Dialog-Static, Sea Solution, Sea Hydro, K3-Ship.

What will they teach you?

  • Hydrodynamics Learning the basics of hydrodynamics to analyze the behavior of ships in water, including the study of forces acting on the ship and its stability.
  • Project Management The study of project management techniques in shipbuilding and ocean engineering, including planning, organizing and controlling.
  • Modeling and Simulation The study of mathematical modeling and computer simulation techniques to analyze the behavior of marine objects under various conditions.
  • Innovative Technology Introduction to new developments in ship and ocean engineering, including the use of alternative energy sources and environmentally friendly technologies.
  • Naval Ship Design Study of the principles and methods of designing various types of ships, including their structural and operational characteristics.

What do graduates do?

Graduates of the master's program in the field of "Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering, and Systems Engineering of Marine Infrastructure Objects" can find themselves in various professional fields. They can work as design engineers, engaged in the design and development of marine vessels and platforms, as well as participate in the creation of new technologies and materials for shipbuilding. Also, they can become oceanographers, studying ocean processes and their impact on marine objects, which opens up opportunities for work in scientific institutions and research centers. Specialists in systems engineering can engage in the design and optimization of control and automation systems for marine objects.
